PULL ("we", "us", "our") operates the PULL mobile application and website at pullclays.app (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Data Controller

PULL is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at support@pullclays.app.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account data: Name, email address, and role when you register.
  • Profile data: Display name, avatar, shooting disciplines, and club affiliations.
  • Shooting data: Scores, scorecard photos, GPS location (only when you submit a Club Verified scorecard), achievements, and performance history.
  • Social data: Posts, comments, likes, group memberships, and messages.
  • Marketplace data: Gun listings, enquiries, and saved offers you create.
  • Payment data: Subscription status processed via our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
  • Device data: Device type, app version, and usage analytics to improve the App.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide your account, social feed, scoring, leaderboards, and club features.
  • To verify scorecards using GPS location and photo data when you opt into Club Verified scoring.
  • To process subscription payments and manage PULL Pro membership.
  • To display public shooter profiles, leaderboards, and community content you choose to share.
  • To send service notifications, achievement alerts, and important account communications.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse of the platform.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data based on: (a) contract(to provide the App service you requested), (b) consent(for GPS capture, scorecard photos, and marketing communications), (c) legitimate interests(platform security, fraud prevention, and community integrity), and (d) legal obligation(tax and regulatory compliance).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Clubs and Gun Dealers — when you book sessions, check in, or submit listings.
  • Service providers — payment processing, cloud hosting, and analytics partners under strict data agreements.
  • Authorities — where required by UK law or to protect user safety.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Scorecard and achievement data may be retained to maintain leaderboard integrity. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@pullclays.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Device Permissions

PULL requests access to the following device capabilities. Each permission is requested only at the moment you use the related feature, and you can decline any prompt without losing access to the rest of the App.

  • Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): PULL uses the camera when you choose to photograph your physical scorecard after completing a round. The photo is uploaded as proof of your score and, when combined with your location, qualifies the round for Club Verified status on leaderboards. For example, after a 100-target Sporting round you can tap "Upload Scorecard" and take a picture of your paper scorecard so your score can be verified and ranked.
  • Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): PULL accesses your photo library so you can attach existing photos when creating a Gun Room listing for a shotgun, and select scorecard images from your camera roll to verify your shooting scores. For example, when listing a shotgun for sale you can select up to ten photos from your library to display on the listing.
  • Location When In Use (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription): PULL checks your device location only when you upload a scorecard photo to confirm you are physically at the shooting club you selected. This GPS match upgrades your score to Club Verified status and protects the integrity of leaderboards and rankings. For example, after photographing your scorecard at a registered club, your location is compared against the club's stored coordinates to verify the round was shot there. Location is never tracked in the background, is not shared publicly, and is used solely for score verification.

You can choose Social or Peer Verified reporting levels if you prefer not to share location data. All permissions can be managed or revoked at any time in your device's Settings.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
